Resumen

In the administration’s attempt to overcome the vision of the traditional compact city and adapt urban policy to a territorial context of growing interdependence, the programme of Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategies (EDUSI), through the figure of the Urban Functional Area (AUF) of supralocal scale, is a good example. However, at the end of its development period, the analysis of this programme shows that both in the process and in the results, the prominence of supra-municipal proposals has fallen far short of initial expectations.
