Brief description ot the activity

Marta Sandoval is Professor of the Teacher Training and Education Faculty at the Autonoma University of Madrid (UAM) where she coordinates the research group on Educational inclusion, diversity and teacher training (ONInclusion). Her research interests are linked to educational inclusion and teacher training. She is the author and coordinator of the teacher training course \"Inclusive Education. Equals in Diversity\" in national and Latin American editions for more than four years, promoted by the National Institute of Educational Technologies and Teacher Training under the Ministry of Education.


She has participated in several international projects on teacher training for inclusion funded by the European Agency for Development in Special Needs Education and by the European Union (Erasmus+). In addition, UNESCO, in collaboration with the Ibero-American Intergovernmental Network of Cooperation for the Education of Persons with Special Educational Needs (RIINEE), has appointed her as a consultant for the project \"Advancing regional cooperation to promote the right to education of persons with disabilities\" (2021-2025). She is currently participating in the European Project INCLUDL-Schools: Promoting inclusive schools in Europe through Universal Design for Learning and Service-Learning and leading the projects: \"Co-teaching models as a strategy for inclusion and teacher development\" (2022-2024) funded by Deloitte, SA and \"Collaboration for inclusion: cultures, policies and practices for educational transformation\" (Ref. PID2022-137000OB-I00) funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033/ERDF, EU.


She has been vice-dean of students and social engagement for four years (2013-2017), coordinator of the Primary Teaching Degree (2010-2012) and coordinator of the doctorate in education (2022). She is the coordinator of the Hub \"Society, culture and heritage\" of the CIVIS alliance (A European Civic University - CIVIS) at the university.
